The Pixel Farm has removed most of the limits on PFTrack Solo, the version of its camera-tracking app for one-person studios. From PFTrack 26.09.30, Solo users get 37 nodes that used to be Studio and Enterprise only.
Newly included
- The photogrammetry pipeline.
- Tracking for stereo, spherical and equirectangular footage.
- Z-depth generation, Optical Flow and the Mocap Solver.
- Video retiming utilities.
The catch
A perpetual licence now costs £999, up from £699. There are new rent-to-own plans: £184.99 a month for six months or £39.99 a week for 30 weeks. The seven-day trial has been replaced by a demo mode that can't save or export.
Solo is still one user on one machine. The Python API, command-line processing and RED or ARRI RAW debayering remain in the bigger editions. It runs on Windows, macOS and Rocky Linux.
Who it's for
Freelancers doing match-moves for ads and music videos who kept hitting the old feature wall. If you only track the odd shot, Blender's built-in tracker is still free.
